Zippy Shell Las Vegas – Our Story

Brian had spent years in various corporate jobs traveling around the country and making valuable connections with moving companies through their great work and excellent customer service. Unfortunately, one long-distance move left his belongings in Kansas City when he was ready to settle into his new home in Miami.

Noticing a need for quality storage in the Vegas area, he started Zippy Shell Las Vegas in 2014 as a storage company for folks in the Valley who were looking for a good climate-controlled storage solution in the intense Vegas heat. It soon became obvious that storage customers in Vegas needed professional movers with the right experience, training, and customer service. 

Brian tapped into the energy of his experience with movers all across the U.S. to create his team of professional, well-trained movers and make sure that no one in Las Vegas has another Kansas City debacle. 

We grew to accommodate the long-distance and regional moving needs of our neighbors here in the Vegas Valley with an armada of fully licensed moving trucks and containers. We have deep partnerships with many Vegas real-estate companies including Coldwell Banker, Berkshire Hathaway, and Keller Williams, which has been an important part of our growth in Las Vegas’s culture.

ZippyU, our official partnership with UNLV, has become a valuable addition to our services and to our relationship with the Las Vegas community. ZippyU has grown into such a successful program that it has spread to Zippy Shell’s Southern California branch as well.

Brian Linsey, The CEO Las Vegas

Originally from upstate New York, Brian graduated from Cornell University and has held numerous executive roles in Sales and Human Resources for Fortune 200 companies (GE, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Capital One, Burger King).  Over the course of his career, Brian experienced many local and long-distance moves as he was transferred across the country.  While many of his moves were executed flawlessly, an equal number were botched in some form or fashion.  Years later, these difficult moves (including one move where his household belongings ended up in Kansas City instead of Miami!) were the impetus behind starting Zippy Shell Moving & Storage. He simply believed that moving someone’s furniture and household effects from point A to point B should not be that difficult!

Brian moved to Las Vegas in 2003 and immediately fell in love with the city’s eternal sunshine and unparalleled energy.  In 2014 Brian opened Zippy Shell Moving & Storage with the simple belief that superlative customer service and skilled, friendly movers were needed in a city with non-stop action and movement.  In addition to local and long-distance moving services, Brian made sure that Zippy Shell offered portable, climate-controlled storage as well.  Zippy Shell became Brian’s passion, and a relentless devotion to outstanding customer service has turned Zippy Shell into a growing, thriving business that serves Southern Nevada and provides moving services across the nation.

At the rare times when Brian is not working, you can find him at the gym, playing cards (he is a semi-professional poker player), investing, traveling, or spending time with his girlfriend and his beloved dogs, Sierra, Moka, Chive, and Bijou.

Zippy Shell Incorporated

Zippy Shell was founded by a couple of fun-loving Australians in 2007. They came up with the idea of a portable (not to mention good-looking) storage solution. 

Their business flourished Down Under, and in 2010 they brought the concept to the United States. Their mission was clear: provide the convenience of portable storage at a fraction of the cost of the more well-known mobile storage companies. 

Today, Zippy Shell USA has a robust network of franchisees and corporate locations servicing over 130 markets nationwide.
